Last night I moved roobasoft.com from Dreamhost to Pair (the DNS changes are probably still funneling through the tubes). The goal of this switch is to increase the uptime of roobasoft.com. Dreamhost has some great features (their control panel is pretty slick – sans it’s “this will take effect in 5-15 minutes”), and certainly a great price[1]. Unfortunately, the uptime from Dreamhost hasn’t been what I want for a site that is selling a product. Pair has a reputation for sacrificing bleeding edge stuff[2] for stability. Seems like a good trade off to me (at least for this site).
