Storm of the Century

Here in New England, we’ve already had snow this season (four inches on Thanksgiving Day). That was somewhat unexpected and not really a huge deal. Tomorrow a.m. is supposed to bring in our first real storm. It’s already been decently hyped by local news stations and many school’s have already been cancelled. In a nice coincidence, I’m taking a vacation day tomorrow. I look forward to breaking out the shovel, building snowmen with my two year old and enjoying home made hot chocolate.

In about one month I’ll be whining about the snow and ice. Hopefully I’ll be able to look back at this post and laugh. It’d actually be nice if I can enjoy the snow all Winter long, this may be our last Winter in New England.

Unrelated note: I’ve finally fumbled my way through QuickTime API’s enough to consider the proof of concept step for RooVert complete. This means I have a functioning app that is painful to look at, klunky and has plenty of chances for failure. That sounds somewhat negative, it’s actually a huge step in the right direction. Next up is to start focusing on the UI’s custom controls. Mmmmmmm, Cocoa.
